This year's Game Room events/tournaments schedule doing well. So far, we have the following boardgames/war games: Risk, Advanced Civilization, Axis & Allies, Diplomacy, Star Fleet Battles, and Monopoly. For the Miniatures fans, we have Warhammer 40K and a micro armor game demonstration. For the role players, the schedule includes AD&D, Champions, and Cyberpunk 2020. For the collectable card players, a Magic: The Gathering tournament and Babylon 5 card tournament are scheduled. For those who like puzzles, there will be puzzles (including at least one 3-D puzzle!) available to put together. There will also be children's games of Sorry, Clue, and Clue's Museum Caper.
We are still in the process of finalizing the following games: Battletech, AH Classic Rails, Call of Cthulhu, GURPS, Steve Jackson games, a posssible LARP, and Vampire: The Masquerade. We are working on having the Magic and Babylon 5 tournaments sanctioned, as well as looking into having the Star Fleet Battles as an "Ace of Aces" sanctioned tournament.
The Gaming Room will be open 24 hours for open gaming, as well. If you wish to play in a game, please bring along a copy of it! (If there aren't enough copies, you may not get to play.) If you are interested in running a game/tournament (even if it's not listed above), please contact Mary Newman at Lomesul@aol.com. |
