Portland to Host 2016 Westercon

Portland will host Westercon 69, July 1-4, 2016, after the members of Westercon 67 in Salt Lake City voted to award the convention to the Portland in 2016 bid.

The detailed results of the site selection election at Salt Lake City were as follows:

Needed to Elect (Majority) 34

Westercon 69 will be at the Portland Doubletree Hotel at Lloyd Center. The initial slate of announced guests includes John Scalzi (Writer Guest of Honor), David Levine (Fan Guest of Honor), and Charlie Stross (Special Guest).

  1. Nice and convenient, this will almost be within walking distance. Right by the Max LRT and Lloyd mall with its food court.
