We'll be having a scavenger hunt that's a little different from others you may have been involved in (unless you've gone to San Diego's ConDor)
In addition to the usual items that you might be asked to find (a red comb, a police badge), there will be information you'll need to find (trivial and otherwise) and some items that will be subject to some interpretation (a lost soul).
Each item will have an associated point value, some of which may be variable. Additionally, the first person to tern in a particular item will get a 20% bonus. Here is the latest list of items that you should collect. BTW, any item received before the convention actually begins is worth an addition 20%
- An authorized Sue Dawe card - 20 pts
- An authorized Sue Dawe postcard - 100 pts
- An official document of Westercon 1 (pictures and postcards accepted) - 70 pts
- The English translation of "sjakk" - 40 pts
- Armin Shimerman's first Trek role - 10 pts
- Trisect an angle with straight edge and compass - withdrawn
- Photo of someone at Westercon One - 30 pts
- An 8-inch floppy disk - 100 points
- Identify the SF story that begins:" The last glow of the last sunset would linger almost until mid-winter." - 30 points
- A "New Year's Eve" card - 50 pts
- Something that looks like it was in a Star Trek transporter accident - 10-150 pts
